The Lady Beavers traveled to Northwestern to play an 8th grade only game. Though Corry was down two starters, their team defense was firing on all cylinders as they picked up the win 31-11.
Jordyn Watrous was tasked with defending Northwestern's leading scorer, Molly Kulyk. Jordyn played her role beautifully by holding Kulyk scoreless in the first half. Offensively, Corry was able to build a 7-2 lead after the first quarter and extended that lead to 17-3 by halftime.
Our team defense made it really difficult for Northwestern to generate any offense.
Corry continued to dominate in the second half by outscoring Northwestern 14-8 on their way to a 31-11 victory.
Ava West registered her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Maci Kemp finished with 9 points, two rebounds, an assist, and a team high six steals.
