Blog report by Craig Jaquith

Middle School Football Head Coach

The Corry Beavers middle school football team traveled to General McLane on Wednesday night where Beavers suffered a 35-6 loss to the Lancers.

Lucas Waychoff ended the night with 92 yards receiving and a touchdown and 22 yards rushing. Cummings ended with 98 yards passing with a touchdown and added six yards rushing . Jordan Nutt caught one pass for 6 yards and added 9 yards rushing. Matthew Fuller carried the ball for 3 yards.

Defensively  Levi Knapp and Xavier Abeyta had tackles for loss and Knapp had a forced fumble and also recovered it.

Our offensive line did not execute in the run game nor the passing game. Mclane had guys in the backfield all night. Our guys did not do what they are coached to do. We struggled tackling all night, guys were in position and wouldn't make the plays. We need to stop arm tackling and run through the ball carrier.

The Beavers fall to 2-5 on the year and have their last game of the season next week against West Lake (a McDowell middle school). It is a home game for Corry and Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM at Sheen Field. If you can't make it to the game, watch it live on the DeeJ Experience Sports Stream. www.deejexperience.com/corry-beavers
