Corry Boys Basketball Coach

Corry Boys basketball hosted the Northwestern Wildcats on Monday night in the Beaver Dam where they would take care of business. Corry Jumped out front early and never looked back with a running clock the whole second half and a 65-30 win.

Corry started off hot in the first quarter jumping out to a 24-4 first quarter lead over the Northwestern Wildcats. Pressure was the name of the game tonight, which led to a lot of steals and 11 first quarter points from Landon Deane. In the second quarter the beavers didn't let up and scored another 20 points, led by Kamdyn Moon's six points.

In the second half we started out hot like we wanted to, and then we were able to rotate a lot of our guys through the lineup. It's been nice being able to keep our guys fresh this year with our up tempo defense. 10 guys scored for us tonight, and it was pretty even across the board. If we can continue to do that, it will be tough for teams to key on anyone specific.

Landon Deane paced our offensive attack with 18 points, Kamdyn Moon right behind him with 11 points, Keaton Frisina with eight points, Karson Chamberlin and Parker Trask with six points, Landon Atha with five points, Cameron Ricketts with four points, Nick Scouten with three points, Zach Turben with two points, and Kayden McCray with two points.

Karson Chamberlin led Corry in assists once again with six, Deane had five steals, and Trask had five rebounds.

"Tonight was the best basketball we have played thus far. As a team We kept the ball in front of us defensively, and we scored well with easy buckets in transition. Tonight was a great team win. Keaton Frisina stood out the most with his hard takes to the rim in transition. I think he is the most athletic kid on our team, and he had confidence going at the rim tonight. There is no doubt his bread and butter is defense, but he can add in another element to our game. I hope he can grow on that and continue to do that for us." Coach Bailey Stated.

"Wednesday, We start at CASH for our first region matchup. They will be a great test for us. We split with them last year and they are returning just about everyone in the starting lineup.Going to play down there is never easy, so we have to be tuned in and ready to roll."

Corry remains undefeated on the year at 5-0 and will head to Conneaut on Wednesday and then Oil City on Friday in two critical region matchups. both will be on the DeeJ Experience Sports Stream with JV starting at 6:00 PM and Varsity action to follow. www.deejexperience.com
