Corry faced off against North East Monday night in their first of four games this week. Corry would notch another win on the year with a 22-10 win on the night.
The Beavers ended quarter one tied at four apiece with the Grape Pickers. In the second, Corry was able to start building a lead by winning the quarter 7-3 and headed into halftime up 11-7. Corry continued to dominate in the second half, winning both quarters and sealing the win with a final score of 22-10.
I was proud of our play in the second half. Our defense held them to three points and helped spark some offense for us in transition.
Ava West led all scorers with 16 pts to go along with 10 rebounds and eight steals. Two steals away from a triple double was pretty cool to see. Ava is always giving maximum effort and it showed again in today's game. Maci Kemp followed with four points, five rebounds, and an assist. Mikayla Comitz had two points, four rebounds, an assist, and two steals. Liv Swan had two rebounds, an assist, and a steal. Jordyn Watrous had two rebounds three steals followed by Hannah Daniels with two rebounds and a steal, Delaney Church with two rebounds, one assist and a steal, and Emma Kight had two rebounds.
Corry will have a quick turn a round as they host the Girard Yellow Jackets on their home court. Tip off is it 4:00 PM. The Beavers will then play at Fairview on Thursday and finish up their four game week with a home game against Titusville on Friday.
