Coach Kelly Goodsel had the following comments: “I’ve told people for years, when the
program does well, the Corry team gets opportunities, and when the team does well,
individuals get recognized. Our team did really well this year, finishing 2 nd in the state…
and as a result, four of our players were named to the All-State list.
Makenna has been recognized the second year in a row for her tremendous defense,
serve receive, and serving abilities. I’m super happy both Halle and Aubrey were
recognized for the first time this year; Halle for her six rotation consistency and Aubrey for
her fast approach and super effective arm swing. Grace was recognized in District 10 and
throughout the state playoffs as the go-to hitter for Corry, and is only going to get better.
I am super proud of the entire team, almost anyone of our starters could have received
District 10 (six of ten players were recognized) and All-State consideration. And for those
that didn’t see a lot of playing time were integral in creating a competitive gym and made
everyone better.”
The Corry Area High School volleyball program is a member of PIAA District 10 and competes with over 20 high school teams in the AA Classification. Corry won Region 4, District 10, and finished second in the state in 2024.
