Lady Beavers Bow Out Of Soccer Playoffs After Loss To Wilmington

Like the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. They Corry lady Beavers soccer team ends the season 10-7-2 after their 2-0 loss against Wilmington in the opening round of the playoffs on Saturday afternoon at Franklin.

It was a pretty even match all game but Wilmington made the most of their offensive opportunities. Our seniors Morgan Martin, Ava Whiteley, Lindsey Hasbrouck, Tenley Janes, Delaney Nickerson, Ellie Curtis and Mallory Dahlgren led by example all season and gave the team everything they had. These girls were our first freshman and helped change the culture or girls soccer and helped turn it back into a winning program.

"Two playoff appearances in 4 years is an absolute success with back to back 10 win seasons. This is the first time in a long time the program had the numbers for JV as well and a lot of the success and growth can be attributed to the senior class. We’ll certainly miss their good attitude and hunger to win. Couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to work with."

"For the rest of the roster, we march on. Girls will be playing all winter and spring to keep trying to improve. Thank you to all of our sponsors and everyone who helped along the way for another great year!"

As the Beavers finish their season with a 10-7-2 record and a second straight playoff appearance, we look forward to see the growth of the team and will patiently wait for next year to watch the continued improvement of the soccer program. Congratulations on another good season lady Beavers!
