Corry traveled to JS Wilson Tuesday afternoon to take on the Trojans. Though the Beavers had plenty of chances, Corry was unable to capitalize and ended the first half tied at 7 apiece. Corry’s offense continued to struggle in the third quarter but were still in the game thanks in part to their defense. Starting the 4th quarter down by 4, Corry battled back and gave themselves opportunities in the final seconds to win the game. However, the Beavers fell short losing to JS Wilson by a final score of 18-19.
"We didn’t shoot well today. We had good looks inside and out. It happens. What kept us in the game was our defense. We didn’t lose today because of our effort, and I am proud of the girls for that. We will learn from this like we always do and get back in the gym to work on getting better."
Leading Corry today was Ava West with 7 pts-9 rebounds-4 steals followed by Mikayla Comitz with 5 pts-2 rebounds-1steal, Baylee Northrop with 4 pts-4 rebounds-1 assist-1 steal, Maci Kemp with 1 pt-4 rebounds, Jordyn Watrous with 1 pt-3 rebounds-1 assist and Liv Swan with 1 rebound.
Corry will host Northwestern (eighth grade only) in the West Gym on Thursday at 4:00 PM
